As written before, Those Analog Kids are all about teamwork. This teamwork was put to the test as we participated in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Sticky Fingers competition. The mission – get as many captures as you can within a four hour period.
As a non-competitive player, I was a little apprehensive about doing this, but decided to go ahead and do it anyway. The result was surprising and the experience was a lot of fun. We ended up placing in the Silver Tier, which is basically the top 25% of the clans that participated. That was the surprising part. To be honest, I believe we are good, but our skills and team chemistry have never been put to the test. Those Analog Kids are based on a group of guys who love to game, that’s it. So when VaughnWhiskey, one of the founding fathers of the group, enlisted us for two competitions on the clan section of COD’s Elite, I was a little unsure of how we would handle a game “under pressure”. As it turned out, there was no difference. I mean, honestly, the call outs seemed more regimented and we played more aggressive than before, but for the most part it was just us kids playing some Modern Warfare 3. As a result, we ended up with a silver badge and 500 experience points added to our clan page.
Scoring was based on how many captures the team members got, taking the top six of each clan. Free members (non-elite) were not displayed or counted. Here is how Those Analog Kids faired:
Those Analog Kids captured a total of 333 flags, with Steve, Turntablez, and Maddog rounding out the top three in our clan.
We plan on competing again later today (February 25) for more experience points while playing Flagged for Removal as we try and get as many defends as possible, while playing Domination. Wish us good luck and thanks for your support. To see Those Analog Kids in action, check out the game play below of Dome as we get the last win of the competition period and VaughnWhiskey takes us out with a kill cam. Take care!
